Biggest spot: HD 12545On our Sun we can often see sunspots. But those are nothing compared to what this red giant has to offer. One spot, 10 000 times bigger than the largest sunspot, is 1300 kelvin cooler than the rest of its surface with its 4800 kelvin.
The star makes a full rotation every 24 days.
